Celebrity Success Story: Jim Carrey
From Jay Z to Will Smith, so many celebrities have spoken about how they consciously manifested their success. But no one is as devoted and passionate about manifestation as Jim Carrey. In 2017, Jim Carrey publicly went through a spiritual awakening, which resulted in some confusing interviews that only those of us who have also awakened could understand. Most famously, at a red carpet event for New York Fashion Week, he told an interviewer that the world is "a field of energy dancing for itself" full of "clusters of tetrahedrons moving around together." His behavior seemed erratic; for me, it made sense and only made me admire him more.
The Time He Manifested A Bike
Jim Carrey's first memory of conscious manifestation was when he manifested a bike as a child. He's told this story on multiple occasions, one of them being his commencement speech for Maharishi International University's graduation. In second grade, Jim Carrey had a substitute teacher who told his class that when she wants something, she prays for it, promises something in return, and always gets what she wants. Jim Carrey wanted a bike at the time, but his family couldn't afford to buy him one. He did as his substitute teacher instructed, and two weeks later, when he came home, there was a brand new bike waiting for him.
"As far as I can tell, it's just about letting the universe know what you want and working toward it while letting go of how it comes to pass."-Jim Carrey.
He had won the bike in a contest that a friend had entered his name without his knowledge. Jim Carrey says that type of thing has been happening to him ever since. The biggest takeaway from this story is that you can manifest what you want no matter the circumstances, and you should never doubt or question how it is going to come about. Like Jim Carrey's story, things will happen behind the scenes that you know nothing about to bring your manifestation to fruition. So trust your power, trust the universe, and have faith that everything you desire is on its way.
He Used Visualization To Manifest His Career.
As a society, we've made it seem as if daydreaming is a negative thing. As if you're delusional for imagining that thing you desire, or you're disassociating from reality by believing it could come to you. The truth is, every time you daydream, you're visualizing a potential reality. Jim Carrey knows all about this because he used visualization to manifest his career.
"I do have these things, they're out there. I just don't have a hold of them yet, but they're out there."-Jim Carrey
On a 1997 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Jim Carrey spoke about how he used visualization to manifest his acting career. Before Jim Carrey was the famous actor he is today, he used to drive up on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles and visualize various directors telling him they admire his work and want to work with him. At the time, he had none of the things he wanted. However, visualizing himself had them made him feel as if he did have them–as Neville Goddard says, Feeling Is The Secret.
From a quantum physics perspective, if you can imagine something in your head, it is already happening in an alternate reality. You could not have a desire or imagine something in your head if it wasn't already happening. When you visualize something, know that it is already done. You're job is to stay aligned with it and allow yourself to have it.
He Wrote A Fake Check, Then Manifested It
In the same episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Jim Carrey speaks about the time he wrote out a ten million dollar check for acting services rendered. He dated the check, Thanksgiving, 1995, and kept it in his wallet. As it deteriorated, he kept it there, never giving up his faith that it would eventually come true. Just before Thanksgiving of 1995, Jim Carrey found out he would be making ten million dollars for a movie role.
This story is inspiring and goes to show that even if something seems like it's not going to happen, even if it seems like time is moving and your manifestation still isn't here, stay faithful because it will show up. The universe won't let you down.
My Favorite Lesson From Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey has taught me a lot about manifestation and what is truly going on in this 3d reality. But one of my favorite things he has ever said is in regards to his father. Jim Carrey's father had wanted to be a comedian like him. However, he decided to settle for a reliable and safe job. His father later got laid off from that job. What Jim Carrey took from his father's experience is: "You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love."
I think about this quote often. I believe anyone with a dream that sometimes seems out of reach needs to keep this quote at the back of their minds at all times. For all my manifesters, keep visualizing, keep affirming what you want, and never settle for anything less than what you love.
